Les Oliviers has been our holiday retreat for nearly 20 years. It’s located about a mile outside Soubes, a tiny village which dates back to before the year 1000 A.D. There’s not much in the village, although the bar Lou Cantal is well worth a visit, with great value menu du jour at just 12.50 euros. It’s set in the town square near the Mairie and Biblioteque Municipale amid les platanes (plane trees) that are a feature do so many French towns.
